Band to Join, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Background Singer, Other, Cello.

I tend to ramble so I'll try to be brief - I'm looking to play 80s gothic rock / post punk / deathrock. I'm a songwriter, but I'd rather just do covers until I've got a group with chemistry and we've found our swing.

The phrase "gothic" is misapplied to a lot of the wrong sounds: It's an offshoot of punk rock, so while it's dark and often brooding, dense, and ponderous, it's fun and fu*king danceable. High reverb, emphasized bass, synthesizers, often incorporates drum machines, though I personally prefer live drummers.

Once we're comfortable enough playing together to do originals, I'm no longer concerned about sticking to any genre. In fact, I fully expect we'll incorporate folk/world elements, from gypsy to cabaret to western, and I'd like to bring in instruments that are eclectic for a rock band, from theramin to cello to panflute.

Until this pet project pans out, I'm also available as a vocalist/rhythm guitarist. I leave my baggage at home, and once I agree to be part of a band, am as devoted, flexible, and dependable as you are.
