Un-named Band

Lead Guitar, Drums.

I am primarily a sax player, but I also do my share of singing. I'm 61 years old and started playing in 3rd grade. Played in bands my entire life, but never had to play music to support myself. The last band I was in played regularly in and around Indianapolis. We were regulars at the Slippery Noodle. Myself and 1 other members of this band are putting another group together. We hope to get back into the rotation at the Noodle and to play quality gigs a couple times per month. We all write music but will concentrate on our versions of Blues, R&B, Funk, Rock, Jazz/Fusion, covers. Everything from Galactic to Steely Dan . We all have jobs and families.

We like a lot of different stuff. We're into the Dr. John as well as Steely Dan. We play the Ray Charles tune "I Don't Need No Doctor" pretty close to the way John Mayer does it. We like Johnny Lang, some of the SRV stuff, James Brown, and the Neville Brothers and The Subdudes, & Tiny Town. New Orleans Funk and R&B is pretty cool for us.

Everybody plays well. I'll try to post a few tunes from a recent rehearsal for you.
Need a Strong Lead/Rhythm guitar player. If you can sing that's cool too.

We rehearse in Fishers, IN. We have access to a decent recording studio and a good PA system. For about any indoor gig, we've got it covered. If we do some outdoor gigs, we might have to rent some gear if the venue doesn't provide it.
