ABOUT

I am a 35 year old Drummer/Singer/Rhythm Guitar player looking for other experimental musicians to write new music and collaborate on existing music. I am extremely diverse and I have perfect pitch perfect time. I used to play in a Reggae Rock band in New York, I played in side projects for experimental Math Rock/TripHop type bands, Indie Rock, and my primary interest and skill lies in Drum Kit and Hand Drums (Djembe, Doumbek, Tablas, Congas, Latin Percussion, Self made synth and percussion instruments). I want to start something to combine genres and revolutionize different types of music to explore new possibilities in creating music. I am also interested in some cover band projects depending on what it is. I have written music that I want to complete than needs studio musicians to record experimental concept albums, and creating new music everyday. Very picky on which projects I will be interested in actually committing to based on a variety of factors.

EQUIPMENT

Djembe, Tablas, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Bass. Will buy drum kit when I have a band that i'm interested in. I have had a custom PDP kit with sick variety of cymbals, Pearl Export, Gretsch, and played on many other friend's kits in NY when local touring and playing 5 boroughs and Long Island shows. Sold kits due to no space and moving etc. I can guarantee you that sound is extremely important to me and I am very particular about sonic choices for toms, hand drums, tuning my own skins, streching skin for hand drums, making my own instruments such as PVC Digeridoos etc., I usually purchase multiple snares to have a variety of snare sounds for different songs and complimenting certain sounds. Me and friend wrote a COMPLETE CHORD COMPENDIUM including ALL 5 6 7 8 note scales and modes of each (many unnamed), utilizing Scale Omnibus and other sources, and studied, notated and compiled ALL Chord possibilities, open and moveable on the neck, for each Scale. This is not published but will be. Also it includes most relative Scales (ie: exact scales that are within others, and also which others minus 1 note, 2 notes, etc. It is the ultimate song writing tool for having a guide of what you can switch to while playing in a certain scale and chord progression. This has been invaluable as a musician and we hope to one day fully complete 9 note scales etc. and share with others.
