I've been in a band before and written my own music. I'm a dedicated guitarist looking for a thrash/extreme metal band or a southern rock band. I love solos and don't think they should be excluded even in new metal. I'm also educated in music theory. I'm looking for other musicians that are dedicated and want to make original music.
Just as a side note: I'm not really looking for a rhythm guitarist like it says above. I would like to have a guitarist to share the lead role with to do double guitar stuff with. I really like harmonies and duet solos.

EQUIPMENT
I'm trying to get a job so I can get better gear (bigger amp mostly) and I play Dean Guitars and own a Dean MLX and use Dean Markley Blue Steel (11 gauge) strings. I mostly tune down to B.
I also have a Squire Strat that I keep mainly for educational purposes. I keep it tuned to E standard and I don't use it for gigs or practices.
