It was easy to find good people to play with in college--why is it so hard now?
Formed, wrote the music for and played primarily electric guitar in a loose ska/funk/punk/rock/oldies band in my early 20s. All of the other members went on to tour in other bands while I started a professional career. Finally at a place in life where I can give music another shot.
In addition to the high-energy songs from my original band, I've written a lot of new music and some lyrics in the past 18 months. Most of those songs are incomplete and could benefit from the input of a collaborator. I'd love to develop this music with a skillful somebody but, more importantly, with someone (male or female) who is intelligent, fun, accountable and instrumentally-versatile. Most of the songs are acoustic guitar-centric but do/would feature an edgier/funkier quality with fuzzed electric guitar, keyboard/piano, multiple layered vocal parts and possibly a dash of electronic sprinkled in. My multitrack experimental recordings are based on a four-person band where the second guitar can also play piano/keyboard and three-out-of-four can sing but all of the songs can be played as a duo, too.
I'm hoping to take this as far as its potential will allow.
I'm fortunate to have a very flexible work situation and hope to find people who also have flexibility. I seem younger than I am so age doesn't have to be an issue. And, if you're on the fringe of interested, I should tell you that I keep a lot of snacks in my house.

I primarily play acoustic electric and electric guitars but also have bass guitars, an electric piano, an electric drum set, an acoustic drum set, ukuleles, audio interfaces, various mics, outboard gear and amps.
