ABOUT

If you're a solid drummer that has a great meter, lives around Seattle, enjoys tasteful song dynamics, likes to play odd times, has little to no ego, enjoys humor, likes to jam, has a high quality bar, can listen to others, and has a day job, then... By all means, contact me. ;-)

8/17/2021 - Looking for a DRUMMER! I'm a singer / guitarist for a band called Breeding Stock that lives the dream in the Seattle (South Seattle) area. Available at areed99 through Google Mail. We have 1) singer/guitarist, 2) lead guitarist, and 3) bass player / backup vocalist. We are currently in the process of hammering out new songs (and recording them), and wrapping up mixing past material. We all have day jobs, kids, family, have an off beat sense of humor, and a complete and utter passion to make music.

History overview on Breeding Stock:
We've got some past material: 10 solid, recorded, mixed, lightly mastered songs, plus around 7 or 8 new songs ripe for the picking. The band has been around since 2005 in various forms, but has been in this form since 2014.

Influences

Our past influences came from bands like (in no order) Pink Floyd, Tool, Zeppelin, Lamb of God, Metallica, Karnivool, Slipknot, Alice in Chains, Dave Matthews Band (drummer), Twelve Foot Ninja, Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Mastodon, Pantera, Sevendust, Opeth and much more... Broad-stroke band principles range from (in no order) soulful singing, syncopated rhythms, melodic music/singing, building soft moments to intense energy, occasional screaming, tasteful dynamics (lighten the song mood during course of a song and the reverse), meaningful lyrics that grasp at deeper concepts, and the challenge to constantly evolve ourselves towards interesting musical directions. In other words, we are constantly on the hunt for new inspiring directions.
