I am a 36 yr old female singer, who thrives on Jazz and Blues and Motown, but can enjoy playing all types of music. Voice is my primary, but I can play piano, flute and harmonica. I love the feel and sound of retro-soul and would love to combine it with the smooth stylings of jazz and topped with a dash of swing/ska. My husband is a bass player who also enjoys playing these styles and ideally we seek jazz-style musicians who believe in playing the instrument, not just the music. We strive to practice to get the sound right and do it well. It has to feel good and natural as a whole.

Motown, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Miles Davis, J.J. Cale, Sinatra, Adele, Amy Winehouse (love the sound, not the image). My music longtime favorites inlcude Allman Brothers, Govt. Mule, Stevie Wonder, Traffic, Clapton, Beatles, anything Jam based and funky.
EQUIPMENT
flute, harmonicas, yamaha digital piano(88 keys). Husband plays Fender Precision Bass Guitar through a Mark Bass Head and an Ampeg 4X10 Cabinet.
