What I'm looking for:
Other laid back musicians that just want to have fun making unique, original music. I'm hoping to play indie/alt/progressive-rock.

And although I prefer to create original stuff, I am open to playing some cover music too. I just prefer that the emphasis is on writing original music.

Availability:
I can only commit to playing once a week right now. That could change as time goes on, but just how it stands right now.

I am available any night after 5pm Monday through Friday, any time on Saturday, but would prefer not to play on Sundays.

Demo tracks:
Check out the demo tracks I uploaded for examples of my playing. In the demos, I played and recorded all bass and guitar lines, and I programmed the midi percussion, synthesizers, and piano using SampleTank. These demo tracks are just me messing around, and shouldn't be taken as examples of the kind of music I want to play with others.

My background:
I started playing bass at 15 years old and joined a band in high school. Our music was heavy metal that included progressive elements, such as polyrhythms and uncommon time signatures. I played shows throughout the St. Louis area at venues such as Creepy Crawl, POPS, Hi-Pointe, and The Galaxy. During that time, I took music classes to gain a basic understanding of music theory.

In college, I joined a cover band that played popular college rock music. We played at various venues in Columbia, MO (Mizzou). I continued to study music theory while pursuing my Bachelor's degree.

I moved back to St. Louis to complete my Bachelor's degree, and stopped playing music with the cover band. I eventually stopped playing music altogether (~10 years ago) due to other priorities, but recently began practicing again (~2 years ago), and am now looking to join a band.
