ABOUT

I've been a bassist for about 27 years. I've played rock, indie rock, experimental, classic rock. jazz, bluegrass, western swing, acoustic. Hobbyist lately, but I have a lot of experience both on stage and in the studio. I have a big family and am not looking to tour or practice a lot. Outside of the cover band and jazz gigs I already do, my main ambition would be to write and record some interesting original music again. I would really dig a duo project with 2 bassists. I don't have much experience with synths and electronic music, but I would love to experiment with anything unique. I am not much of a songwriter, but I am an excellent contributor. I kind of play drums, too.

I lean toward a lot of Post-Punk influences (Smiths, Cure, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Killing Joke, Talking Heads etc.), Post-Rock, (Talk Talk, Bark Psychosis, Red Sparowes, Mogwai), Brazilian rock, Tropicalismo, Bossa Nova, Reggae, dub, funk, world music. Mike Watt. Radiohead. The Cramps. Oingo Boingo.The Police. Rock en español. Any music that grabs my attention.
