ABOUT

Hey guys, my name is Adam Corbin. Moved to Phoenix, AZ from Upstate NY and unfortunately lost my band “42nd Draft” in the process. We were getting regular paid gigs and had a couple albums worth of material built up that we were hoping to start getting recorded soon. Sucked to leave but sometimes ya have to make sacrifices in life I guess… Phoenix was a no-go so now we’re moving to Winston-Salem, NC. If you want to check out some of my previous work I have some videos on be under my first and last name. I'm itching to play even if I could just find a group to jam with that would be awesome. I have a day job with rotational on-call… this is really more for fun for me but of course I love the idea of getting paid to do what I love if that became an option!

I can't play slap to save my life nor can I read sheet music but I'd like to say I can otherwise be a pretty versatile player. I listen to and play a lot of different genres. I can usually learn a song pretty quickly by ear and I can usually improvise pretty easily as well.

Influences

Grew up in church and got my start on a worship team, still fill in from time to time.
Find any 2000's emo playlist and that's pretty much my influences growing up but the 5 or so bands that have had the biggest influence on my style over the years would have to be:
Yellowcard
Dashboard Confessional
Alice in Chains
Iron Maiden
Joyous Wolf
I also enjoy playing some jazz, I love all jazz but I don't have the chops for some of the crazy stuff lol!
Huge Tool fan but not much of a prog rock kind of bassist to be honest. It’s funny, the stuff I listen to tends to be different from the stuff I play well.
