My description of what I am making now is a set of bands. I am creating a band that would sound kind of like muse. I am also creating a band that is kind of like the foo fighters. Third, I am creating a band that is similar to how Roisin Murphy performs live.
These could be overlapped no big deal.
I like radiohead a lot beacuse it's kind of a combination of sounds.
I am a singer song writer who plays piano/electronic keyboards with kind of dirty synth sounds. I like 70s funk synth as well and use a lot of this depending on how I feel that day.
In my rock and roll stuff I usually play rock guitar (like foo fighters or something) though I have been in rock bands that were more similar to mars volta. I do intend on melding back in to the mars volta type of sound and would be fine with jumping right in if I meet the people who want that again.
I do also play bass and play really well.
Also a lot of the time I will set up drum machines and effects peddles and have that stuff running for my background tracks.

With all that said. I also like Amy winehouse and feel I fit in right with her vintage r and b/rock/ska voice.
With alll ll that said. I also used to be in a few big bands (full size with 20 or so people and imagine as I grow old will probably more like frank sinatra or something. But in the meanwhile
