Multi-instrumentalist (primarily bass and guitars, also light keys) with vocal, songwriting, producing and recording engineering skills seeking interesting creative collaborations/situations with one or more musical partners or an existing band situation.
Things I'd be very interested in:
1. Another singer/songwriter/musician - keys strongly preferred,
but open to guitar or other - looking to form a band to play original tunes either alt/prog rock or jazz rock or some mix of styles listed below. If you play/write like one or more of Donald Fagan, Keith Emerson or Ray Manzerek (yes, I know that's a pretty broad range), but don't sing and are looking for a guitarist/bassist/vocalist to work with, please contact me, as we might just be a good fit!
2. A female singer/lyricist to collaborate on original tunes in any of the styles listed below.
3. An existing band roughly fitting into any of the styles listed below looking for either a bass or rhythm/lead guitarist and singer/songwriter to contribute original tunes.
4. A drummer on the westside into any or all of the listed styles who would like to find and share a lockout space in Santa Monica or west LA with me. Wife wants the big amps/keys out of the living room - me too!
Musical styles I'm interested in: eclectic alt rock, acoustic rock, electronic, jazz rock, fusion/funk, progressive rock, etc... see influences section for a better idea... mostly open to good musicianship, interesting sound and a good vibe. No heavy egos, heavy metal, hardcore rap/hip hop or country thanks.
The tracks posted were all from an alt/electronic rock album I wrote and recorded about 13 years ago with a female singer/lyricist - a pretty eclectic mix of tunes - hope you like 'em - we formed a band after completing the album and played out for a few years and wrote and recorded a few more tunes before that project ended. Since then I've been mostly singing and playing jazz guitar with a flutist/sax player, but she moved a bit too far away for regular playing/gigs, so I'm also looking for a jazz-influenced flute/wind player (and possibly bass and/or drums and/or keys) for a jazz/fusion trio/quartet/whatever in addition to more alt/rock/electronic projects.
