Members Of Band

Phillip Tirman (Guitar):
Phillip Tirman has rediscovered his passion for playing guitar after a 20 year hiatus. He played in a rock band called Roxx in Little Rock, Arkansas in the 1970's and then in a band called The Epidemic in the late 1980's and early 90's in Galveston Texas where he was training to be a Radiologist. He spent eighteen years living in the Bay Area for his career and recently moved to Santa Barbara with his wife for her school program. He plays predominantly music from his youth and early adulthood, mainly classic rock with a heavy British Invasion influence. He's also been working on original material.

Steve Benchek (Bassist):
Bassist, Steve Benchek is self-taught and formed his long-standing LA band ROX at the early-age of 13, back in 1974. Admiring jazz-fusion extraordinaires, Jaco Pastorius and Victor Wooton, Steve has developed his musical style from studying bassists John Paul Jones, and Geezer Butler with an affinity to Hendrix exploratory forms of blues, acid-rock and soul; and carries a deep appreciation for music of Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Robin Trower, The Isleys, James Brown, J.J. Cale, Jean Luc Ponty and Al di Meola. He has played with bands, Sabbatack, Heavy Metal Harmonica and still currently with ROX. A gourmet cook and wine aficionado, he enjoys organic gardening, and outdoor sports.

Evangeline Benchek (Vocalist):
A filmmaker, writer, graphic/web-designer, Vangie Benchek is revisiting some of her early creative endeavors. Her musical foundation is based in classical, jazz and world music, and has a deep appreciation for funk/old-school R&B. She is exploring and tapping into her musical roots in developing a style which compliments her talented band-mates and to her surprise, emerges as a rock-singer! Influences include Nina Simone, Chrissy Hines, Angelique Kudjo, Martha Reeves, Chaka Khan, Steely Dan, Ella Fitzgerald, Carol King, Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke and Elvis Costello. She enjoys gourmet cooking and organic gardening.
