I recently started playing the saxophone. My 6th grade daughter started band and was insufferable about how much more she knew than me about music, so I decided to learn the saxophone to spite her. It is my first instrument.
I can now read music and can play easier scales in time with the music, harder scales for songs I know well.
I am still learning so don't have all of the finer skills a seasoned sax player has, but have lots of passion for my sax and will learn any song needed to become good at it.
