The ultimate goal is domination through every corner turned and every opportunity utilized. Texas Native Reed Cowser is moving ever forward with the determination and ambition of all the great musicians of the past and the present. With styles utilized from every genre Reed Cowser has taken every element and applied it to his repertoire of skills with his Axe the mighty Bass Guitar. From Funk and Jazz slap to Metal and Rock chops Reed Cowser has the talent and the ability to function in a wide range of genres and styles of music.

The time spent in the music industry and gaining an ever-growing list of opportunities has been nothing short of positive for Reed. Reed’s talent has been honed and continues to grow as well as having played at every available venue that has been in business since 1990 to present. Reed started playing the Bass guitar as his main weapon of choice in the summer of 1988. Primarily self taught he managed to accomplish a very polished style of playing. After years of playing with various bands, he had made some strong headway opening for such acts as Bozo Porno Circus, Pit Bull Day Care, The Razorblade Dolls and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. These showcases presented audiences with Reed’s Slap Bass Rock skill. Kudos were given to Reed’s styles by none other than My Life With The Thrill Kill Kults bassist Charles Levi who happens to be one of Reed Cowser’s main influences.

Reed Cowser has worked as a roadie for tours in his area through the I.A.S.T.E. Local 127 Stage Hand Union in Dallas, TX. Reed has worked for Cirque du Soleil, The Cheetah Girls, Neil Young, Disturbed, Jane’s Addiction, New Found Glory, The Cure, Korn, Slayer, Metallica, Nsync, Toby Keith, Brittany Spears, No Doubt, God Smack and Garbage just to name a few. Working as assistant Sound Board operator, stage carpenter, gaffer and light crew. Reed worked along with the Rigging Workers and has a vast knowledge of the tour experience. During his time at the Dallas Art Institute while attending classes for the Music and Video courses Reed had the opportunity to gain knowledge of the biz from many professionals including Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Hellyeah, and Damage Plan fame.

Presently Reed has been working with the Death Metal Band Primordius. During his time with Primordius Reed has developed his skills to become faster and stronger with ever growing endurance and accuracy. Reed is currently using a Ernie Ball Musicman Bongo 5 string bass and Traben Bass guitars. His two favorites are The Musicman BONGO and the original Traben Array 5 Special. Reed currently uses DR strings and D'Addario. Other Basses used are B.C. Rich, ESP, Kramer, Gibson and Shecter. Reed is still in search of the ultimate bass to explore his craft. Reed uses Monster Cables, Hercules stands, SWR cabinets, and Gallien-Krueger bass heads, Planet Waves Tuners and Finger Ease lubricants.

Keep your eye out for Reed Cowser’s projects and other accomplishments. He is on the rise and will very soon be a staple to the Bass Players vocabulary. Reed Cowser is continuously booking shows, recording and composing new music with Primordius the Dallas based Death Metal band. Primordius and Reed Cowser can be seen locally in Dallas and Ft. Worth at The Vampire Lounge, The Rockstar Sports Bar and the Ridglea Theater and will be on showcase in surrounding cities and states this summer.
