ABOUT

rock/pop/alternative singer/writer/performer/musician/actor/live & studio sound guy/arranger/producer. My solo performances have included my 12-string Martin & me. Have fronted for several bands in a variety of venues with performances across the USA, and Europe. Have also spent a couple of years as on air radio personalty (DJ) at a classic rock station in the Ohio area, as well as voice overs for commercials and radio work, plus a little acting in L.A. Seeking to develop a band for live work on promoting my current CD release, and for future recordings and hopefully traveling paying gigs. Of course some free and charitable gigs will surface, but I believe ya gotta pay to play sometimes to get to where an audience wants more of ya. With that said, I plan including a select array of cover songs that would be compatible with the genre of the newly released CD that you can hear clips from via my CD Baby link. I'm also a graduate of an accredited Audio Engineering school. I wouldn't mind beginning by locating a bass player who can sing back up. Have considered a female bass artist (upright and/or electric bass, then go from there but all talent and communicative personalities are certainly welcome. Can't say how long I'll be in Dallas seeking these potential band mates. I my move on to Austin or Nashville, with the eventuality of working standing gigs in NYC and hovering around the Los Angeles scene again. Also looking at Toronto Canada and Vancouver Canada. Having or the ability to obtain a passport would be a good thing for you to obtain in the not to distant future. I don't like to interfer with ones personal habit preferences, but I would prefer non smokers of cigs, and as far as their libations, if you could maintain them on your own time rather than on stage, studio or rehearsals, I believe the work & performances would render much more success and longevity. Have been there often myself and with other musicians. Just seems being on stage in a cleaner mode certainly helps the show cruise along better. Thanks.
BTW, after seeking 'round dallas, if no luck locating compatible artists wanting to forge an act in the same venue as I'm seeking (not meaning I'm a tyrant, cos' I'm certainly open to ideas on getting this project off the ground), most likely I'll head on to one of the places mentioned earlier...nashville, Austin, Los Angeles, or even Columbus ohio...being that I do have standing invites to perform in New York City. Ohio is near there as well as Nashville, Toronto and many music venues.
Alrighty then, that's all I can think of.
Oh despite some of my band mate preferences, I'm really not a prude at all. Have just been around the block a time or two, and this time would really like having a viable act and crew of happy people with similar positive beliefs in the wheels of success.
