Greetings fellow music lovers. My name is Alan from the Medina County area of Brunswick Ohio. I’m recently retired 63 year old and now that the restrictions and responsibilities of job and raising kids are over, I’m back to pursuing a love and passion of mine, music and drumming. I will admit I don’t have much experience and took a 25-30 hiatus from playing raising a family but the passion and desire has never left me. I’ve been locked into my dungeon ‘studio’ now for 2 years practicing to all my favorite tunes of the past and ready to bust out to jam, have fun with like minded older dudes (and girls of course!) If it progresses further into gigs, perfect. If not I would chalk it up as making new friends and contacts. No harm in trying. I simply want to play, my desire isn’t to make money but a passion for the music I love and the music I grew up with. I’m not technical but gifted with a natural groove .

Influences
Influence are many. From a little Motown to 60s pop and rock (too many to list!) to 70s pop , acoustic rock, rock, progressive rock. Same with 80s and a touch into the 90s. I simply love my music from the past and what I grew up with. There were numerous bands of course that were favorites but there are also many many more bands that had just one or two hits, too many to list .

EQUIPMENT
I bought myself an early retirement gift, a 9 piece Alesis E set which I love for many reasons. Not much to look at but it’s so compact, easy to haul and set up, and the programs and different sounds it’s capable of is amazing. The best part is I get to play without bothering my wife anymore!
