I am looking to form or join a band that plays fun, upbeat music that makes you want to move. Funk, Soul, old R&B, Motown, 90s hip hop, reggae is what I'm going for. I am proficient on bass guitar with backing VOX. I have played in bands for years but I have not been a part of a group where each member pulls their own weight and does their personal practice before rehearsals. I live in Fort Worth, have a steady job, and am financially stable, however, I am very much missing performing since the last band I was in split up.

It depends on the type of music. But I really love groovy funk and soul.
If it is Funk and soul, I would say James Brown, Parliament, The Meters, Al Green, Rufus and Chaka Khan, Chicago, Aretha, Joe Cocker, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Jackson 5, Temptations.
If it is rock, Led Zeppelin, Stones, Chili peppers, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath.
