Band to Join, Acoustic Guitar, Other Percussion, Violin, Piano, Harmonica, Other, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Dobro, Vocalist - Alto.ABOUT
I'm looking to join/create a folk music collective which would consist of a revolving band of musicians and songwriters working on originals and/or covers we can put our own sound to. Ideally, it would be a rather large group, creating a rather large and unique sound, deeply rooted in folk. Whether you can rip leads on the fiddle, or you just like to sing, or even if you play the musical washboard... the more eccentric, the better. I want this to be just as fun as it is serious and artistic.
Also, I want to join/create a straight-up bluegrass cover band (2 guitars, banjo, mando, fiddle, upright bass, percussion) that would cover classics from Bill Monroe, Old & In The Way, The Earl Brothers, Tony Rice, etc.
Any compromise between the two could be very cool as well.
