  East of Eden was I when
  Angels did fly to hold me.
  I asked them their cause, to give me this pause,
  And this is what they told me:

  “Lilith!
  Oh Adam’s wife,
  You must go back to your life.
  Or we by Father God do cast you to the sea.”

  I could never be such a bride,
  And so I did bribe those holy ones
  That praise in their names, would shield from my hate, all
  Adam’s daughters and Eve’s sons.

  Centuries have passed,
  And slowly eased my wrath
  Towards certain members of your kind
  Who I see defy the Divine.
  Thus I grant you visions,
  Of the shadow side,
  Find in them the power
  To set fire to the sky.
