"Almost There" is a central Maine classic rock band focusing on the classics of the 60s though the 90s. Playing both the staples and some tunes you might not of heard played live in a while. We play everything from the 60s up to the 90s.

Don Belgard:
Don Belgard comes to central Maine from the gulf beaches of Florida where he grew up. Don began his musical career in a country band for five years and then in another classic rock band for five more years. In between bands Don has enjoyed playing music both solo and in a duo. Don moved to Maine in 1999 and has played with the classic rock band “Undercover” as well as with local artist Jim Whitman and also playing solo. He Has played solo at various venues as well as the Central Maine Egg Festival. Don has been a guest musician on a couple of local Maine artist’s cds and also has some of his own music recorded. He invites you to check them out on his Reverbnation page under Don Belgard. Don is married and has a blended family of five children. Currently Don is playing lead guitar with Almost There and lovin’ every minute of it. He invites you to come up and say hello if you’re out and about at one of our shows. If you have a request please let him know-we’d be glad to play it for you and if we don’t know it- we’ll learn it for next time. As you’ll probably notice Don is usually sitting on a stool and playing due to a disability-but don’t let that fool you. He has the heart of a rock and roller and loves playing live and meeting people. Don is glad to be part of the band and looks forward to playing out. Derek Pellerin:
Derek Pellerin was born with a plastic spoon in his mouth, on the seventh day of the third month of the year 1987. Growing up around his fathers music, with such bands as Between the Lines, Seven, and Blackjack. It was inevitable at some point that he would play music in some sense. In JR high school he started out playing the trombone in the Lawrence JR high band, under the direction of D. Loren Fields. Upon reaching High school, He picked up the bass Guitar for the first time becoming Lawrence High schools bassist for: Symphonic Band, Marching band, Pep Band, Jazz and Show Choir Pit band. Derek Is also an avid drummer and percussionist. He spent one year as Lawrence high schools marching band percussion caption playing multi toms, and one year instructing Lewiston High schools Drum line. Derek has had the pleasure of playing with many musicians over his short career so far. He also spent 2 summers traveling the country playing in Citations Drum and Bugle Corps (2007) on Drum set, and Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps(2008) on Timpani Drums. As well as several local marching units though out the state. He has played with a few Rock bands though his high school days, never really finding what he wanted. He has been part of several different bands over time, but has brought all his talent to the stage of Almost There. He is keeping the Low end thumping all night long. He plays a 5 string Washburn bass, modified with EMG pickups and strung with Dean Markley Blue Steel strings, playing through A SWR Working Pro head, through GK Cabinets. His other interests are spending time with his amazing wife, and watching his stepdaughter do karate, and aspire to play a bass too! Cant forget to mention the furry friend in his life, his furry daughter Miley, She loves to have her back scratched and loves to play with her
kong.


John Pelletier

Drums, started playing at age 7. His mom Judy, an all state drummer while in high school, was his first drum teacher. Being on stage since age 15, John has had the pleasure of gigging with many talented singers and musicians thru the years, playing throughout ME & NH. John is proud to be endorsed by Silverfox Drumsticks.

Bruce Burpee:
Bruce has got to be one of the most talented lead players in the state, and has played with many great players over the years, including our latest addition of John Pelletier for a couple decades. He has played with local bands such as Night Moves, and has filled in with alot of people, so theres a good chance you have seen him. We are very happy to have him on board, and his great guitar slinging ways, and great sence of humor. Come check him out, but make sure to bring your own towel!
