I had a recording deal in the 80's , toured, and opened for major label acts. Got signed again in 2009 and released a fully funded album of new material, mostly modern country and some classic rock.
Have released 6 cds as a band leader and appeared on many others as a sideman or band member.
I can play straight up jazz standards, classic rock, blues, funk, country (I am an excellent mandolin picker and can play some banjo, dobro, harp). I am also a very good slide player. I have studied acoustic fingerstyle with Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna and Tommy Emmanuel. Privately studied jazz with icon Larry Coryell. I go to guitar camp every summer for a week to stay up on latest trends and to learn new techniques....So I'm serious about guitar.
I am available to join an existing working band, and I am available to do fill in work if you need a sub. I can cover anything other than classical and flamenco. I have been a member of some of the top bands in Jacksonville during my stay here (references upon request). I claim to be the only guitarist in town that can go from playing jazz and blues to classic rock to bluegrass and Americana.
I can sing some leads and harmonize.
I have over 7 cd's of original material recorded with various groups and in various styles ranging from arena rock to jam band to latin influenced (ala Santana) to power pop to adult contemporary. I am open to writing and collaborating with others.
