Seeking Trumpet Player for Trumpet/Sax Duo thing
OR possibly seeking a SMOOTH JAZZ Group.
I'm a SMOOTH JAZZ TENOR SAX Rookie Hobby (wanna-be) Player with some Limited Skills (Don't we all have limitations?).
Played for Hobby Fun years ago, then switched to Harmonica and did some Blues Harpin' for many years off and on in a Duo Act and in a 10 piece Tribute Band.
Had One Heck of a Blast. Thanks to those who made that happen !!!

Now I've been getting back into the Sax again and though I never really knew my Sh*t, I've been really getting excited how things have been sounding. "Cranking Up" my Sound System playing along with all the Artists that influence me by playing their fun and challenging music.
Now I've gotten a pretty serious desire to do a Trumpet/Sax Duo thing.

IDEALLY I would like to find a Trumpet player similar in age as myself and that lives close by (I'm in the Crystal/New Hope Area) that would like to "Pipe It Up" doing some Fun Trumpet/Sax - Duo/Solo stuff, doing tunes like "Grazing In The Grass", and "Q It Up" by Rick Braun, Boney James or Richard Eliot. I've got some Pretty Darn Good Professional Quality Backing Tracks that in my opinion are "Not" your typical boring Sh*t. I'm working to put together anywhere from a 30 to 60 minute (or more) show to do Private Parties or Events doing Duo tunes and some Solo tunes.

Nice if this could become "Our Project" playing with the Passion that one can't help but to see we enjoy doing very much. Maybe I'm dreaming but it sure would be nice. This is something I'm planning on Indulging into more when I retire (in about 4 years), but in the mean time I'm working on trying to get it together and look forward to doing some small performances along the way. It would be really be Fun to have someone to Team Up with that would enjoy getting into this stuff.

Pretty Sad on my part that "this seems to be all I think about" when I have time to think, Lol.
Currently I've got it stated that I'm only doing this for Fun, but it would be nice if this could become Moderately Committed or Committed.
(and Yes, I do get excited about it).

Thanks, AL.

Uptempo Smooth Jazz (tastes definitely vary in this genre). Current Artists such as
Richard Elliot, Boney James, Euge Groove and a few others....
Oh, and I can't forget Trumpeter Rick Braun Lol.

Instrument experience:

Tenor Sax. I put aside my old Sax and I picked up a Pretty Nice Looking fixer upper. Looks Nice and now it plays pretty darn well too.
