My name is Amirah, and I am based in Boston. I am currently a PhD student, but music is my first love. I am a self-taught musician and singer-songwriter originally from Indonesia. I have played the guitar for about 15 years and picked up the drums and piano over the years. I have played lead guitar in a funk band and various other genres and rhythm guitar for a Southwest cumbia band. I have also performed as a solo artist, singing different collections of originals I have written since I was 15. I am here to meet other musicians, possibly form a band and write together!
