ABOUT

Anan Kantawee was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He began playing the Northern Thai Lanna classical instrument when he was 9 years old. He began playing guitar when he was 13 years old and has been a career musician for 8 years. He has performed as lead guitarist with the following genre of bands: ballad, blues, acoustic and reggae. Since 2004 he has playing with "The Ugly Bugs Band", his own reggae band, and Rasta Flower band, and has also working with Ana Gracey. He has toured all over Thailand. Anan studied classical music at Rajabaht University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, graduating with a B.A. in classical music. He has now moved to New York City, USA to study audio engineering and production. While in New York, he is also focusing on producing his original indie band, "Dub Blender", and his own underground instrumental album project. He continues to try to find music opportunities and to experience New York.
