I am a piano playing singer songwriter, have been writing songs for 10-12 years, have about 20 fully completed songs that I'm proud of. Songs are lyric and melody driven, with piano always as the main backing instrument. Looking for bass and drums to make a 3-piece band. The piano parts and lyrics are set. Basically what I'd like to do is work with a bassist and drummer to find the best way those instruments can complement the piano and vocals, and make the songs sound as full and natural as possible.
Songs range from pop to jazz to blues, but always with emphasis on lyrics. Looking for musicians who agree that the most important thing when playing your instrument is to serve the song, and blend in to make the best sound without drawing attention to anything except the song itself.
