Hello, my name is Andrew Sauers. I’m 25 years old and live in Fishtown currently. Through Highschool I gigged around witb a couple different small jazz ensembles as well as played for my HS jazz band. I took classic piano lessons for about 4 years and then transitioned to jazz lessons for about 6 years because I wanted to learn how to improvise. In the process I gained a solid knowledge of jazz theory as well as became familiar with a repertoire of songs, especially jazz standards. Now that I have graduated college, I am looking to get back into playing in a band purely for the enjoyment of sharing and creating music.
