Hey all,
I'm Andrew, here looking for people to play some music with. I've played bass for four years, and prior to that played trumpet & French horn for about 15. I take lessons once a week with an awesome dude named Dave Berzonsky, who plays around town.
I've played with two groups, for pretty decent lengths of time but never really played gigs. The first group was a funk/jazz sort of thing that was a good experience but not totally my style. The second was mostly rock covers, which is what I'm looking to get into now. I would also be stoked to play in a Motown group.
Anyway, I'm hip to getting together to see what clicks and having a good time. I've got a job and all, so my goal here is play out as often as we can on weekends. I'm also open to just getting together to jam and taking it easy.

Influences
When I'm picking up new songs & styles to learn, it's mostly 70s & 80s rock of most styles. I'd say I spend a fair amount of time getting good with lines from Zeppelin and Queen, with a good bit of Motown mixed in for fun.
If I take a quick look down the top couple of bands I've got albums of, they'd be Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Allman Brothers, Bad Company, Boston, Deep Purple, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Queen, REO Speedwagon, Styx, The Who, etc.
