Many years of gigging in a punk band in California before moving to Oregon in 2018. Been playing jazz guitar, lessons off and on, for about 10 years.
Looking to start a band and properly record the songs (about 2 albums) that I've been sitting on. Edit: I have a bassist and drummer, mainly looking for keys/piano who can shred and add synthy sounds. Hopefully get tight playing together and then gig locally. I have a job/family, so not looking to tour extensively at this point.
I think of it as up-tempo prog rock; I like to focus on complex song structures, jazz harmonies/chords, some shredding, some improvisation, avoiding cliche melodies, keeping it light-hearted/sarcastic where I can.
I generally don't have time to devote to joining another existing project/cover band on a full time basis, but I'm always happy to check out what other people are working on.
I'm always down to jam a little jazz too.
Excuse the vocals in the songs I have posted- I'm only a singer by necessity.

I think this is space jazz, whatever that means. This one is a little more free form, pretty much all improvised.
