I've at least every genre one or more times, but especially played a lot of rock back in the 60's, 70's, 80's and played a lot of blues. I played bass for living in a lot of different styles and took up rhythm on guitar for some great lead players and played double lead with the same players, that's what helped my lead playing. I grew up playing in all black bands and worked my way into the rock genre eventually.
