ABOUT

Formed in the hills of Southern California in the early stages of A.D. 2009, Antietam is a band blended of Thrash roots and Extreme Melodic Metal. Helmed by frontman, Alex Griffen, each and every song is laced with the intricacies and masterful storytelling that compels the audience and ignites energy in every crowd. The music composed by guitarists Colton Woolley(form. Messor) and Mai-coh Black summons up the very essence of metal's origins and pulverizes them into a modern-day slug fest between 'Brutal' and 'Melodic.'
Antietam comes to play with every ounce of passion and emotion that is Metal. The low-end Bass of Paul Kershaw that assaults the accompanying Guitar riff. Antietam brings a fresh face to Melodic Death Metal and a new sound to the San Diego metal scene, dominated by the ever-brutal Deathcore.
