Expert bassist with over 30 years of playing, gigging and recording experience who is also gigging on lead guitar (my original instrument) as well these days. Have played with members of Bobby McFerrin bands, Taj Mahal Band, Isley Brothers, Chuck Berry, J Geils Band, numerous others.. Now looking to play with good vocalists and versatile musicians for gigging, including venues, private parties and casuals in SF, North Bay and East Bay.
For more samples of my bass playing, see s:///arthurbarton/music/songs (headphones or subwoofer recommended).
Can play pretty much any genre you throw at me, though prefer professionally-written tunes, cover or original.
Health conscious but not overly fussy or reactionary.
