ABOUT

I am a long-time singer/songwriter (lyricist) from Tennessee fairly new to Florida. I sang in a band in high school and did a lot of amateur performances throughout college. I've been in 3 bands here in Florida. I dont have a lot of recent experience on stage, but i dont have stage fright. I admit, though, that i am shy and insecure. I haven't exactly had a lot of support, and I need more confidence. I can't wait to get back into the music scene. I'm looking for some musicians to put together with my voice and lyrics and some covers and get out there into the local scene at least. Please give me a shot to fulfill my lifelong dream, even if I have waited to pursue it until a little older than I should have. I am committed, dedicated, and passionate. I will work incredibly hard until we get it right if you'll give me a shot. I am shy at first, but I will come out of my shell. I also enjoy collaborations with a group writing originals and remakes. I just had a surprise baby, so I'm still losing that weight, not that I'm big. To get a better idea of what I look like, check out my page. It's under Ashley Whitson. There's even a video of me singing "Wreck of the Day." but I look like crap because it was the middle of the night trying to calm my baby. I normally sing a little better, but I was dead tired. At least you can get an idea of my voice. I'm not at all locked into a genre at this point. Oh, and I took voice lessons for 16 years.
a shot.
