We are 3 Grand Rapids area musicians in the process of writing songs to begin playing shows within the next 2-3 months. We have several jams that just need a solid backbone in the percussion department to finish the arrangement. Styles lean toward heavy rock with blues to prog/psychedelic. Very dynamic from super heavy to spacey.
Requirements are: Professional, high energy. Your own transportation and drum set.
You don't have to be a virtuoso, but a solid command of your instrument is a must. Alternate time signatures are possible, even probable.
Be prepared to contribute to the songwriting process, be flexible, and be comfortable with both receiving and providing feedback.
Communication skills are important to us, as we discuss a lot of concepts via email and text message as we prepare for practices. Prompt replies will be noticed.
