I'm 37. Been playing since I was 12. I don't really like solos, unless it's necessary. I'm not the most talented guitar player at a technical level, but I am very creative and have no problem creating my own riffs. I'm very versatile, being able to play modern rock to brutal,disemboweling metal riffs. Devin Townsend is my biggest influence, but my guitar style is very similar to The Ocean. I'm really in to Deafheaven's New Bermuda. I love that metal meets shoegaze stuff, like blackgaze/post black metal, or whatever the hell it's called. I'm getting older and would like to give this dream another shot before I require Depends and become senile.
