ABOUT

We play high-energy Classic Rock & blues. We are a fabulous woman singer, a steady, enthused drummer, and a high energy guitarist who likes to drive the energy level as high as possible. We have a bassist, but he forgot about one rehearsal, and caused 2 others to be called -- all in 2 months. He is really good, but he does not take the time to learn the material. I need a bassist! (>sigh<)

So I’m seeking a high-energy bassist.

If you don’t want to be out there playing a lot, please don’t respond. This is not a Saturday-afternoon garage jam band.

One thing though: no drugs, no drunks, no prima donnas -- no kidding.

Members Of Band

Drummer. Rod has great steadiness & synchronicity. He plays with energy, yet does not overwhelm the joint. Playing with Rod on the kit is a real joy. Plus, he has an easy-to-get along with personality, good sense of humor, and works when it is time to work. Rod is not egotistical, but just loves playing. Rod can sing backing vocals.

Guitarist. Brian is a high energy guitar player who always strives to drive the energy level higher, and to make use of the variaety of sounds an electric guitar makes. Brian interacts with the drummer as many guitarists fail to do. Brian is not egotistical, but just loves playing. Brian can sing backing vocals, but his throat can't handle a lot of singing. Brian is the leader of the band. (The phone number in the “About” tab is Brian’s.)

Singer. Melanie has a really good voice, and a good sense of how to use it. Her singing makes the players of instruments happy to be playing!

Though we have a bassist, we need a bassist...

EQUIPMENT

Rod has a pretty robust kit. He doesn’t look like the Wizard of Oz, but he has four toms, two bass drums, and a variety of symbols.

Brian plays a Gibson Flying V, a Stratocaster and a Yamaha version of a Gibson Les Paul Standard. He plays through a PODxt Live (soon to be replaced with a POD X3 Live)), a 100W power amp, and a single 12" cabinet with an EVM in it. Brian uses a Line 6 digital wireless transmitter.

Melanie plays a Squire Stratocaster.

Our PA is a B52 Matrix 1000, and a Carvin 16-channel, 4-subgroup, 4-monitor-channel unpowered board with 2 separate digital effects engines, and equalization. We have a dBx Driverack PA, but need to get familiar with it to work it into the system.

We have 4 lights per side, and will be adding a light fader soon.
