ABOUT

Project is called AErosRocks.

This is an Austin-based "tribute" (god I hate that word) to Aerosmith, because we aim to recreate the Aerosmith magic in a live club gig setting, using dual rock guitars, drums, bass, and charismatic singer.

In our sets, we're covering most of the Rocks Album, much of Toys in the Attic, some older stuff and a few newer tunes.

Right now we are looking for lead singers with the range and stage presence of Steven Tyler, and possible a lead/rhythm guitarist with the chops to pull off this stuff.

Our goal is to play out twice a month, preferably weekends, in and around Austin (but travel may be okay) to appreciative audiences.

Influences

This band draws heavily from 1970's classic rock era style. Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Montrose, the Who, Rolling Stones -- that sort of thing.

We'll play songs that will go over well in a club or bar with members of each sex (and danceable/grooveable) - it's not a metal band.

Members Of Band

Already in place and rehearsing is the drummer, bass player and lead/rhythm guitarist (me). Set one is ready (7 songs from Rocks, 3 from Toys in the Attic)

We are primarily searching for a front person (man or woman) who can really sing the high-note Steven Tyler stuff convincingly, with some stage presence and ability to connect to an audience. Bonus points for harmonica ability.

We are open to lead/rhythm guitar player (we have some ready) who can also sing/blend in background vocals (a la Joe Perry) when called for.

The musicians in the project already have hundreds of gigs between us, but we have not played a gig yet as AErosRocks until we secure the personnel.

EQUIPMENT

We use tour-grade pro gear, a PA system, etc.
