SEEKINGBand to Join.
I'm a 42 year old bass player. Played in a professional variety band from 1996-2003 (roughly 165 shows a year). Haven't really played much since then, but am now looking for a hobby band. The occasional gig would be cool, but I am not looking to try and be a rock star any longer. I am stable in my career and am married. Seeking like minded individuals for rocking/jamming on some good tunes. I want it to be fun and not another job or career. No drama/drugs/baggage.

Started at the age of 13 playing rhythm guitar and acoustic guitar. Switched to bass several years later. Cut my teeth on 80's rock and metal so it makes sense that I am into a lot of that stuff. However, the old band played mostly 70's and 80's dance and rock. We added in some Carolina Beach Music, 50's and 60's, some country and anything that we needed to implement. I can appreciate a lot of players and styles of music. NOT into rap or violent/screaming junk.
As an old horn player from the Buddy Kay Big Band called me: a fender bassman!

This is a demo clip from the old band. Granted, it's old but the tunes are standards.

Again, part of our old demo. Standard classic tunes.
