ABOUT

Downshifting from a high pressure professional career to explore my right brain talents again. I'm a formally trained bass player - in high school - All State Orchestra on orchestral bass and electric bass player for a state-wide winning Jazz Band way way back in Texas. I used to also play professionally on a regular basis in various bands in high school and college. I also played standup bass in the orchestra pit for summer musicals. But for most of the last couple of decades I've just been driving neighbors crazy on the weekends playing with the stereo and going to a few open mike nights or jam sessions. I would love to hook up with other musicians of a similar ilk to jam and have some fun. I have omnivorous musical tastes - I just love locking into a good groove with great melodies. I have written stuff and have a few home recordings. I like working on other people's original music. I want to hook up with folks that are motivated to have some fun playing music together. If it clicks, I could be more serious and commit to regular rehearsals and gigs. I'm now a good bass player who will get better with regular practice with others. I have a a good ear and I can get my music reading skills back on par with practice. I hack on piano but I have a good ear. Can do background vocals but it's been a long time.....Interested? Call me at Two-Four-Oh-Four Four Seven - Three Five Niner Two.
