My fingers on my left hand are paralyzed from a car accident approximately 20 years ago. I relearned how to play the bass by laying it flat in my lap, placing a guitar slide in my pinky finger, then getting after it.
Sounds crazy, I know, but I can play and keep it tight with a good drummer.
I am currently on the rotation of bass players at my church and play every other weekend.

Influences
I grew up a metal head and my primary influence was Steve Harris from Iron Maiden. Also enjoyed following Geddy Lee of Rush and Chris Squire of Yes. I can still play some of their stuff but tend to do better with bands like the Doobie Brothers, Journey, Fleeteood Mac, any blues bands, country, and red dirt.
