ABOUT

Most importantly, so as not to waste anyone's time or heartfelt enthusiasm, I could care less about playing out for money. That's not my thing. I have a five day a week professional career. Music is something that I continue to do, and always will do, because it's a natural part of who I am. I simply have a very real need to play and develop myself musically, so for me, music is a priority. I would like to find a band to fit into, or be apart of a project with an interesting musician or two. I love to creatively improvise, as well as to lock down. In whatever musical project I'm a part of, there will hopefully be room for both of these stylized attributes for me as a bass player. For the last 25 years or so, I have been mostly focused on developing myself in an original context, rather than in a cover band situation. Whereas I definitely love to write and signify myself as the unique player that I am in an original sense, I also enjoy playing select covers and achieving the select tones that the players who recorded those classics have come to be known for.

Influences

Too many to name them all individually. However in short all those amazing 70s hard, heavy, & progressive rock bassists. Everyone Rock, from Geezer to Geddy. I also draw a great deal of influence and inspiration from the many more so advanced players like Clarke and Claypool as well. However these are inspired novel aspirations that I have as an electric bassist, and I do not pretend to be in a league with such virtuosos in the least. Albeit, I do have some serious chops of my own.

EQUIPMENT

I'm a gear head fruitcake of the first order. In terms of studio and/or performance gear, my needs are very few, but for some reason, even after 40 years the darn pile keeps growing! ;-)
