Band to Join.

Trans Female Bassist, Guitarist, Synth lover.
Interested in playing bass primarily. Now that it feels a bit safer to be in a stuffy rehearsal space, I'm really itching to be among my musical brethren again. Really missing being in a band.

I rewrote this (10-1-21) to try and re-freshen my perspective and appearance to you all...
I love Rock, Funk, Funked-out Rock, lol. Electro flavored Rock. I'm a pretty quick learner. I lean more towards originals, but I could be persuaded to play covers if I'm really feeling the music.
I read another profile where they stressed the importance of members being aligned with each other's musical influences and backgrounds. I think she was really on it with that analogy. If I/we can meld and truly be in with whatever theme were onto, it "should" all come together, theoretically...
So, I guess that's the goal. Find a group of folks I can positively vibe with. Any hue, gender or orientation. I just want to play, like everyone else that has this music bug. Finding talented people who put the music first, is what is most important to me.

I guess the influences are the most important part of the equation. If we don't recognize each other's music hero's, it will probably be harder to gel as a collective. Some of these names are people I've discovered on YouTube. They blew me away and thus I feel they ARE legit inspirations:
Kinga Glyk, Ida Nielsen, Charles Berthoud, Funkadelic, Marcus Miller, RATM, Herbie Hancock, Rocco Prestia, Morcheba, Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, JuliaPlaysGroove, Kraftwerk, Prince & The Time, Portishead, Brick, Cameo, A Tribe Called Quest, Rick James, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, The Gorillaz, LTJ Bukem, ATB, KOAN, The Cars, BT, The Lovemakers, RHCP, David Bowie, DEVO, Afrika Bambata, Run DMC, The Crystal Method, Gary Wright, EWF, The B-52's, Kano, Edgar Winter and on...
