I started studying and playing drums at age 13, and by my late teens through mid 20-somethings, I was part of some very talented and relatively successful alternative rock bands. Then life happened.
Fast forward to today; age 50; 22 years of marriage; great wife; 3 great kids; entrepreneur and business owner; and I'm back behind the kit with renewed love and appreciation for music and the instrument.
I play on one of the best sounding acoustic kits ever produced IMHO; a Ludwig Classic Maple in Black Cortex complete with Paiste 2002 Series Cymbals aka John Bonham.
Fittingly, I'm playing with a Led Zeppelin tribute band at the moment that started off as some experienced musician friends getting together for some fun, and then shocking ourselves with how good we sounded.
Now complete with amazing vocals from 17 year old singing sensation Michael Stearns, we sound awesome and are having lots of fun playing the local scene, often to crowds of more than 300. But Michael is off to college in 2017 so we're looking for a vocalist who can stick with us and grow with us. If you think you can help, contact me!
