Been Grim is currently a solo project based out of Silver Spring MD. I'm primarily looking to add a drummer, but I may also be interested in adding a bassist or keyboard / synth / sampler wizard. The band is generally inspired by horror themed punk, metal and industrial music.
This band is intended to be a part-time project. The idea is to form a small band with only 2-3 members. All songs would be played with backing tracks synced to a click on in-ear monitors to yield a huge, tight sound from a very small band. The band would only gig 6-12 times per year (1 gig every month or two). Because the band would play to a click with backing tracks, the band would also only need to rehearse about once per month. Writing and collaboration would mostly occur over the Internet. I'm picturing this band as a possible side-project for other gigging pros, or for other musicians (like myself) who used to gig heavily, but had to cut back due to family and work obligations.
