ABOUT

Life long musician and guitarist interested in the possibility of making some gnarly metal with like minded people. Been focusing heavily on the production side for around a year now and have become pretty obsessed with it. Looking to experiment with some unusual genre combinations and tonalities within a fundamentally metal sound. Search TrustTheRust on band-camp for more playing and production examples. Thanks for lookin!

Influences

My influences are very eclectic and random. Into most sub-genres of metal but am most heavily influenced by neo-classical lead players like Jason Becker and Jeff Loomis. Also influenced by jazz/blues and vintage music...love irish folk, delta blues, rag time, rockabilly, gypsy jazz/orchestri music...have yet to truly try and experiment combining most of these different worlds, but am working towards it. Currently working on a metal project which is influenced by gypsy music, incorporating exotic tonality and scales, (hungarian minor, dorian altered, double harmonic minor, etc). Would love to find some other instrumentalists to throw down on it!

EQUIPMENT

Plethora of various 6 and 7 string guitars and a home studio setup. Don't currently own a live rig due my focus being on the production end for a while now, but would be willing to invest in one if something exciting came my way.
