ABOUT

Looking to form a classic rock cover group a la Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Clapton, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac etc. for gigs. I'm a team player and open to repertoire suggestions. I'm not looking for the hard-thrashing "look at me, I'm awesome" side of performing, I enjoy the art and being an entertainer and after spending years being in other people's bands, I'm ready to put the work in as band leader and seeing how much fun we can have with the music.

I'm looking for folks in a similar situation...love music but have an established life. I'm not perfect, but I like as much professionalism as I can, i.e., come to rehearsal at least having a skeleton of the song worked up so we can make the most out of our time, practice the material at home, be good about communication, etc. I'd like to gig at least twice a month and rehearse weekly. I'm open to all gigs (as long as they pay a break-even number) but especially have fun at street fairs and the like.

Influences

I've been playing bluegrass and folk on stage for about 7 years, and continue to perform that, but grew up listening to the dead and fleetwood mac and classic rock in general and am trying to make the shift to electric guitar. My website is .afinazzo , and at the moment is optimized for my acoustic music since historically that's where most of my work comes from. (although I do play electric in an eclectic group out in Burbank..covering Marty Robbins, Dean Martin, Gordon Lightfoot, Clapton etc.)
I enjoy drumming gigs up in my backyard and traveling out of town for the weekend for gigs (mini-vacations) as long as it's financially sensible.
