Studied privately from third grade 1978 to 1992 focusing on rudiments, drumset, percussion and theory!!! Charted first song in fourth grade 1979!!! Played in the percussion section with The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra for two seasons while attending high school!!! Played Snare for three competitive seasons on marching drumlines!!! First live gig with a band was in fifth grade 1980 at Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Garland, Texas where I grew up and mom has been the organist for almost fifty years now!!! First studio gig was in ninth grade!!! Toured with first national country unit at eighteen years old in 1990 and four more after that thru 1999!!! Won The Gregg Bissonette Drumset Scholarship Bash hosted by Gregg Bissonette and Brook Mays Music in 1992!!! Got to play a live show with Gregg Bissonette at nineteen!!! Enjoy playing a variety of styles and time signatures with all artists from big band jazz to country and metal!!! Taught drum lessons and marching drumlines for almost twenty years and had thirteen students receive full scholarships for drumset and percussion to major universities all over the globe!!!
