Bigrough is an italian electric hard Boogie band founded by Alex Cole: composer, lead singer and guitar player, who began his musical experience at the age of twelve as a singer for various cover bands, working with Gabriele Lorenzi (formula 3) and Guido Carli (batterista Zucchero, Irene Fornaciari, Cayne). At the age of eighteen, Alex begins studying guitar under Enrico Santulli's (producer) and Claudio Bazzari’s (blues guitar player) guidance, mainly picking the path of blues and rock’n’roll. On December tenth he is joined by Massimo Cavagnera (drums) and Paolo Vendetti (bass); the band records two original tracks "Call Of The Wild" and "Bad Love" inserted in Rock Hard Magazine’s compilation, and goes on numerous tours throughout Italy. Just a year later, in December of 2011, goes out their first EP “Hang on tight!”, reviewed by magazines such as metalitalia, Metal shock Finland, True Metal, Rock rebel magazine, spazio rock ecc. Some of the songs from the EP are played on the local and international radio stations with occasional interviews taking place. BIGROUGH: it’s the union of two words : Big & Rough, just like nitro and glycerin : there is nothing purer, and more direct with the sole purpose of making the listener beat his feat on the ground to the rhythm. Our sound is both actual and international. We are young, wild and always ready to set our live shows on fire. Have a taste of the true rock’n’roll in its classic and original style: electrifying riffs, thick sound and a rushing charge of energy and groove. Already from the bands birth take place collaborations with important names such as Uriah Heep, Red Ronnie, Pino Scotto, L.A Guns of Tracii Guns, Marco Sivo (ex Planethard), Maurizio Solieri (guitarist of Vasco Rossi), Stevie Cochran, Dario "Kappa" Cappanera (Strana Officina), Claudio Bazzari, Rhino Bucket, Kenny Rhino Earl (ex Manowar), White Skull, Eldricht, Bad Bones, Extrema, Dobermann (Paul Del Bello ex Adam Bomb) Mister No (Fabri Kiarelli) and Marco Di Salvia (drummer of Pino Scotto). In the beginning of 2013 Massimo and Paolo leave the band, which acquires a new member at the drum in May 2013: Giuseppe Inserra (works with Mario Riso) Then Roberto Dragonetti on Bass guitar. Bigrough then collaborates with other big names such as Adam Bomb, Alteria (Rock tv), Andead (Andrea Rock ‐ Virgin Radio), The Fire (Olly Riva) ecc. The band holds exhibitions through all Italy in famous places of the rock scene like "Rock n roll club" (Milano, Novara, Perugia, Aosta)... Rock on the Road (Desio,MB), Blue Rose Saloon, Blues House, Zoe club, Legend 54 e Alcatraz (Milano), Woodstock (Como). They succeed bringing their music abroad, for example to Switzerland at Bruch Brothers (Luzern). They participate at such events like the “Italian Metal Revenge”, “Nuclear Fest”, "Heineken Festival" "Open Fire Fest" "Yes Weekend Music Fest" "Rock, beer and Motors" "Hell's Angels MC Milano Biker Fest". In February 2014 Bigrough are guests in the Radio Lombardy studios in the program "Linea Rock" conducted and directed by Marco Garvelli which transmits the new single "Born to Fight!" recorded at the begin of 2014 at the "Rocker Srl" Studio, owners Olly Riva and Mario Riso.
