I am 48 and have played bass for about 35 years. After 23 years in Auburn, I moved to Cedar Bluff just in time for the 'rona to drop on our heads. I'd rather play with other experienced musicians. I am not a lead vocalist, but I can sing backup/harmony. Almost all of the music tracks on this page were recorded by me in the last year or two with the occasional honored guest player/singer.

Influences

I learned bass by playing along with Rush albums. I can read music well - I played bass for the Auburn University jazz band while I was a student. My favorite artists are Zappa, Rush, Dream Theater, Opeth, and Spock's Beard/Neal Morse, but I am not (necessarily) looking for a band that performs obscure music. Most (but not all) of my gigging experience has been covering stuff you might hear on the radio. My electronic address provided by Google begins with marksnutsack.
