Influences

My Early influences were Big Band type music. I started studying drums at the age of 9. One of my instructors was the late Stephen Halpin who played in the Big Band Orchestras in the 40's and 50's. I knew I wanted to play drums when I saw "The Beatles" play on the Ed Sullivan Show during the English Rock Invasion of the 60's. I was 3 years old. My major influences have been Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa. and Stewart Copeland from "The Police". Lately I have been studying Todd Sucherman's style who is the current drummer of STYX. When I was 14 I attended a drum clinic by the late Ed Shaughnessy who was drummer of the Tonight Show Band, starring Johnny Carson. He just passed away May of 2013.

EQUIPMENT

I play on a SONOR Drum Kit and I use Zildgian Cymbals. I also own several types of percussion instruments.
